Lukas:
Looking back on my life, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the blessings God has given me. I can hardly believe that I am fortunate enough to marry the most incredible woman in the world and begin our life together! I am deeply thankful to my parents, Rich and Kelly Gadke, to Remnant Fellowship Church, and to God Almighty for guiding me towards a purposeful and joy-filled life.
My parents became members of Remnant Fellowship the year before I was born. When I was three years old, they made the decision to move our family from Cleveland, OH, to Brentwood, TN, bringing us closer to the church and its teachings. Growing up surrounded by a loving community of friends and family has undeniably been one of the most influential parts of my life. It has led to incredible lifelong friendships, especially my bond with Mary Helen.
I am forever grateful to God for Mary Helen and eagerly look forward to spending the rest of my life with her; she is undoubtedly the greatest blessing in my life! - Lukas
I first noticed Mary Helen when she and my sister, Natalie, became close friends. After a year of friendship, Mary Helen and I started dating. Within a couple of months, I was absolutely certain she was the one for me. She excels in everything I find challenging! I continue to be amazed, not only by her physical beauty, but also by her kindness, selflessness, and loving spirit. I couldn’t be more thrilled to marry my best friend!
On June 30th, 2023, after dating for two years, I proposed to Mary Helen at the Parthenon in Nashville, TN. It's a special place to us because both her father and her late grandfather proposed to their wives there. In the middle of the field directly in front of the Parthenon, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. She said, “Yes!” It was a moment filled with love and excitement and joy. I couldn't be more thrilled to spend the rest of my life with her!
Prioritizing my relationship with God, a value instilled in me by my parents through the Christian teachings of Gwen Lara, is the sole reason for the life I have today. Without Gwen Lara, my parents, and Remnant Fellowship, I would have never met Mary Helen. I am forever grateful to God for Mary Helen and eagerly look forward to spending the rest of my life with her; she is undoubtedly the greatest blessing in my life! I cannot wait to marry her on April 7th!
Mary Helen:
I have to begin my testimony by first giving credit to my incredible parents, my amazing church, Gwen Lara, Elizabeth Hannah, and countless other church leaders for their endless amount of love and wisdom throughout the years! I feel so honored to have grown up with such a wonderful community of people around me, and I will never be able to fully express the gratitude I feel for the mercy and love God has shown me.
My incredible parents and my brother joined Remnant Fellowship right before I was born, and they started their journey to a changed, fruitful, and happy life! I’m beyond grateful to my parents for setting the precedent for a life focused on God FIRST. They truly paved the way for our family, making sure we always knew where their priorities lie – with God and with HIS church. However, as I grew up, I began to realize that I could not just rely on my parents’ relationship with God, but instead I had to seek out my own personal relationship with Him. With their encouragement and the encouragement from my beloved church leaders and friends, and all the resources available through Remnant Fellowship, I was ready and fully prepared to have my own real and personal relationship with God!
God has blessed me SO much throughout the years, but I’d have to say that marrying Lukas Gadke is the best blessing and answered prayer I could’ve ever received! I am so grateful to be his wife and continue to grow in our relationship with God together. - Mary Helen

Lukas and I became friends about four years ago as I started becoming best friends with his sister Natalie. Naturally, while I hung out with Natalie, Lukas would be around and we started growing closer and closer. In March of 2021, Lukas asked me out on a date and immediately I knew this was it!
Growing up, my parents were daily examples of what a true marriage looks like. Our home was filled with laughter, joy, music, fun, and most of all, love. I prayed and prayed to find a man who would help make our marriage and our home exactly like the one I grew up in. As soon as I started dating Lukas, I saw all these qualities of my parents in him that I had been praying for all these years. He is fun and bright and joyful like my mother, always quick to lift you up and make you happy! He is kind, considerate, and strong like my father, always looking for my needs and the needs of those around him. I am so grateful to be Lukas’ wife and continue to grow in our relationship with God together.
This life and our relationship would not be possible without either of our parents or without the teaching from this church. We are both eternally grateful for what has been given to us and fully stand behind Remnant Fellowship. We could not give back enough for everything that’s been done for us! I’m counting down the days until April 7th!
