Their Story...

Brayden:

My family joined Remnant Fellowship in 2004 when I was 2 years old. I have had the privilege to grow up in this message, and I will always be grateful for that. I learned from a young age how and why to put God first in my life. Even though I grew up attending Remnant, the amount of time spent here is not what matters...what matters is my heart’s decision. I still had to make the choice to truly put God first in my life—at home as well as in public. I am grateful for all the resources we have that make encouragement easy, including all the classes and sermons. My favorite part of the week is definitely going to church and worshiping God. Also, the fellowship afterwards is always so much fun and so encouraging!

Throughout our dating experience, Jessica has been kind, open, funny, loving, and always helping those around her. Her choice to put God first has been so evident in her actions. Together, we will serve God’s church and His Kingdom while giving all glory to Him! - Brayden

I first met Jessica at work in the fall of 2018. After getting to know her and becoming friends at work, we started dating. Throughout our dating experience, Jessica has been kind, open, funny, loving, and always helping those around her. She didn’t attend any church at the time, so I asked if she would like to attend a Remnant service with me, and she said she would. She seemed to fall in love with the church, the fellowship, the music, and everything about it right away. When she made the decision to join Remnant several months later, I was overjoyed, because this was an answered prayer that we could be unified in our worship of God together. Jessica’s choice to put God first has been so evident in her actions. She is very encouraging to me, and she has an incredible gift of organization. She makes everything fun! She loves to sing the worship songs, go to every youth event, and have a good time at the concerts and dance parties. She always upholds God and this church, and she makes it a priority to be to church not just on time, but early so we can get good seats in the sanctuary, where I always feel closest to God.

I can’t wait to marry Jessica and be able to call her my wife. Together, we will serve God’s church and His Kingdom while giving all glory to Him!

Jessica:

Brayden and I first met at work, and we started dating shortly after. I could tell immediately that Brayden was full of love. He has always treated my family with such respect. He uses nothing but the kindest words toward me, and he helps me dive deep to find that special relationship with God. I remember the first time Brayden asked if I would like to attend church with him, and at first, I was not totally sure... Church had never been a big thing in our family, and honestly, I saw church as something boring. However, I decided to visit Remnant with Brayden a couple of times, and it was very different from other churches I knew about. For the first time in a long time, I prayed to God to show me if this is where I needed to be and for a sign of truth from Him.

Brayden has been the biggest blessing in my life. He has a heart full of love for God and has shown me that love by his actions, his kindness, and his words. Brayden is humble, God-fearing, handsome, kind, loving, caring, considerate and the perfect example of Godly Christian man. I know our marriage will be filled with so much love and grace. - Jessica

Then one Wednesday, I was worried about something in particular, and when I went to church with Brayden that night, I shared with him about my worries, and he told me to pray. I didn’t think much of it and honestly didn’t have much faith in it, but we prayed together. Then that Wednesday night’s sermon was all about worry! Gwen’s words that night were exactly what I needed to hear. In fact, it still sticks with me today – she said, “Even if you are worried about something tonight, you shouldn’t be, because God is with you.” Immediately I looked over at Brayden, overwhelmed. I had never experienced an answered prayer like that before! The feeling of trust in God is an amazing and desirable feeling, and I knew then that I would never leave. This church is amazing, and I will always uphold it and its truth. The teachings that Gwen provided were so full of wisdom and truth that it felt like my eyes were open for the first time. I can have the most fun life ever, all while staying under God’s authority and within His boundaries. I have been taught that the love God has for us is unmatched and that we can provide the same love to others. Gwen’s teachings changed my life, and I am so thankful for everything she has taught me. I am beyond excited to see Elizabeth Hannah carry out this message, and I am so eager to learn from her in the coming years.

Brayden has been the biggest blessing in my life. He is there for me no matter what is going on and has taught me so much about selflessness. Brayden has a heart full of love for God. He has shown me that love by his actions, his kindness, and his words. He is the most easy-going person I know. He will sit and talk with you like he has known you for years. Brayden encouraged me to reach out more and helped me become less shy and more social, and now I have the most amazing friends, as well as the most Godly and beautiful group of bridesmaids ever! Brayden is humble, God-fearing, handsome, kind, loving, caring, considerate and the perfect example of Godly Christian man. I look up to him and his example. I know our marriage will be filled with so much love and grace. Brayden is very gentle and loving all while always putting God and His Kingdom first.

Luke 10:27 says, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” and “love your neighbor as yourself.” Brayden walks out this scripture every day, and I learn more from him daily. I can’t believe I get to marry Brayden and become his wife! I know we will have a strong marriage with God in the middle to lead us. I am excited about the opportunity to strengthen God’s church and uphold this leadership together with all glory to Him!
