Their Story...
Levi:
I want to begin by expressing my deepest gratitude to my parents, Kent and Regina Smith, my siblings, Jaclyn (& Wes), Josh (& Ellenor), and Philip (& Halley), the church we attend together, our church leadership (including the late Gwen Lara), and Elizabeth (and the late Brandon Hannah.) Their guidance and influence have profoundly shaped who I am today. Because of their unwavering love and commitment to helping me connect to God through Jesus Christ, I am immeasurably blessed and ready to marry the most perfect woman in the universe.
I continue to be captivated by Jennifer’s kindness, genuineness, and sweet spirit. She is a living example of a Christlike woman, and I am immeasurably blessed to walk into this new chapter of life by her side. - Levi
My parents began participating in Weigh Down Ministries in 1998 while living in Norman, Oklahoma. As a result of the spiritual fruit in our family that stemmed from that ministry, they later joined Remnant Fellowship Church in 2000 and began meeting as one of the first Remnant Fellowship home-church groups outside of Tennessee. In late 2002, before I was even born, my parents took a leap of faith and moved to Tennessee to be closer to the church, driven by devotion and trust in God’s plan. Our family has been firmly rooted here ever since.
Growing up in Tennessee as a member of this church was an extraordinary blessing. Surrounded by examples of faith and devotion and love for God, I was inspired daily to live fully for God. Being raised as a child hearing Gwen Lara’s teaching was amazing. Her wisdom and leadership and love continually encouraged me to grow stronger in my faith and more attuned to God’s will through every stage of life.
As I became an adult, I sought examples of Godly relationships to guide me. Naturally, what stood out to me were my father and mother’s relationship of putting God first in their marriage, Brandon Hannah’s devotion to Elizabeth and their household, and in particular, my oldest brother Josh’s steadfast faith and heart for God and devotion to his family. Their examples taught me strength, focus, and the preparation needed to become the man God was calling me to be, as well as the husband I desired to be one day.
Although Jennifer Wright and I grew up in church together, our paths only crossed briefly during that time. In 2022, our mutual friend group began spending more time together for game nights and other fellowship activities. Slowly, our friendship deepened to appreciate one another’s company more and more, and in January 2024, on a snowy wintry evening walk together, mutual love blossomed.
I continue to be captivated by Jennifer’s kindness, genuineness, and sweet spirit. She consistently places the needs of others—and our church—above her own, embodying a selflessness that inspires me daily. Her joy, purity, and childlike heart encourage me to grow and embrace life with the same outlook. She makes me laugh every day. And there has not been one cross word or awkward moment during our courtship.
Every day, my love for Jennifer grows deeper. Her Godliness and unwavering commitment to God remind me of what truly matters and challenge me to be better in every way. She is a living example of a Christlike woman, and I am immeasurably blessed to walk into this new chapter of life by her side. I am excited to begin this journey together—serving God, our church, and those around us. I look forward to all that God will teach and reveal to us as we grow in faith and love together. I am beyond honored to get to the day I can call Jennifer Lynn Hadassah my wife.
Proverbs 18:22 -- He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord.
Jennifer:
First of all, I would like to give credit to God and this amazing church for all I have been taught about how to follow the lead of God and stay on the right path! I would also like to thank my parents for raising me in an upright and loving way and to thank my family for being such good examples to follow. I am also incredibly grateful for Levi Smith’s family and extended family for welcoming me into their lives so kindly.
Levi is always willing to help and loves to serve his family, the church, and the church members. Levi is a friend to all, and he has many amazing gifts that he uses for God's kingdom. He is the biggest blessing in my life, and I am most grateful that God allowed us to be together.- Jennifer
I am incredibly blessed to have been born a member of this church, which would have never happened if not for my mother, Michelle Wright. In the late 1990s, she began participating in Weigh Down when my family was living in upstate New York. Shortly after joining Weigh Down classes, she discovered Remnant Fellowship. My family joined the church 2002, and in 2015, most of my family moved to Tennessee to be closer to the church. Many various tests have come and gone throughout my life, but through the teaching and support from the leadership and community of Remnant Fellowship, I have learned to walk through refinement by changing myself and following God's lead first, then seeking advice from Godly counsel when needed.
Levi Smith and I have both been members of this church our whole lives, but due to various factors, our paths rarely crossed throughout childhood. It wasn’t until 2022 when friends of ours were organizing a small Christmas play—a project Levi and I were delighted to be a part of—that we started to spend time together. Through that experience, we got to know each other better as friends and started hanging out more.
Growing up, I was never one to dwell on the possibility of being in a relationship with anyone. As a teenager, I determined that whatever God had in store for me—if He wanted me to be in a relationship—He would make it clear when the time was right. Through the teachings taught by Gwen and now Elizabeth, I knew that if I focused on trying to become the right person myself, God would provide exactly the right person He had chosen for me.
While not focusing on “who” I might want to marry, I felt a strong lead to compile a list in my heart of all the Godly traits I would pray to find in a future husband…and I came to realize that every Godly trait I had ever considered in my prayers was found in Levi. The more time we spent together, I started noticing even more things that drew me to him. Eventually, Levi asked me out on a date, and I said yes. Before every date, I would pray that God would make His way clear, and after every date, I would return home even more certain that Levi was the man I was going to marry. And now I get the opportunity to do exactly that!
I could go on forever listing everything I love about Levi, but I’ll try to keep it brief! First of all, Levi is incredibly generous and kind. He is always willing to help and loves to serve his family, the church, and the church members. Levi is patient and a great listener. He is the most loving, the most fun, and the most gentle person I know, and I can’t wait to have him as my husband as well as my best friend. Levi is a friend to all, and he has many amazing gifts that he uses for God's kingdom. He is the biggest blessing in my life, and I am most grateful that God allowed us to be together
We are so excited to get married in here at Remnant Fellowship Church, and we would love to thank the wedding team and church leadership for all of their hard work and assistance, especially Grace Radebaugh, Elle Baker, Lisa Peters, Lily Fischer, Makenzie Ruberto, Jill Snapp, and Mark and Tish Dunn! We are also so grateful for our wedding party and close friends and family for always being here for us as a Godly support system. Last but not least, we want to thank the incredible community of love in Remnant Fellowship! We have grown up around so many wonderful examples, and we would not be where we are today without each and every one of you!
