Aidan:
As I look back over my life, I feel incredibly grateful and undeserving of the blessings God has given to me and my family. In 2007, we were living in Indiana, and my mother was first introduced to the words of Gwen Shamblin Lara through Weigh Down Ministries and Remnant Fellowship Church. She began learning that a love and connection to God was the highest priority for our lives, and she began putting that into practice. As she was growing closer to God, my father soon noticed how peaceful and happy she was becoming, and he began learning and changing too! Even though I was a child at that time, all I remember is the amount of kindness and encouragement shown to me and my family from the church. Our family officially joined Remnant Fellowship later that year, and I know that decision set our lives in a new and exciting direction for the better!
Every day for the past six years, I have fallen more and more in love with Talyhr’s caring and gentle heart. She is truly beautiful inside and out, and I am constantly encouraged by her love for God and her will to do the right thing in every decision. She makes sure God is the number one priority in our lives, and she’s a constant encouragement to everyone she meets, wherever she goes. I am overly blessed! - Aidan
I have had the blessing of spending the majority of my childhood growing up surrounded by family, friends, and a fellowship that has been focused on a deep love for God and His son, Jesus Christ. As a result, I feel that I had the best preparation for adulthood. At 13 years old, I was confirmed and baptized, knowing I desired to take personal responsibility for my own choices and my own relationship with God. I have been taught well by the words and examples of my parents and this church leadership about how to focus on and depend on God and to find His will, praying consistently.
I have found much joy and purpose in living a life committed 100% to God. With this commitment comes refinement, and with refinement comes learning. I am immensely thankful for all that I have learned. I know that trials and testing in life are unavoidable, but they are opportunities to draw closer to God. Through my years of schooling, various jobs, ups and downs, friendships, dating, and starting a career, the principles I have learned at Remnant Fellowship have helped me be successful and find joy no matter what the circumstance. The individuals in our church leadership have always been tremendous examples of living life fully for God, and Elizabeth Hannah, whom I have known for years as she has always worked closely with the Youth, has always shown us how to love God, serve the church, and have a blast while doing it!
God brought Talyhr into my life in early 2017 while her family was visiting the church for a festival. I was captivated by her at first glance, and I ended up learning her name from her younger brother. I didn’t know anything about her family or where they came from, but all I could think about was meeting her the next time they came down to visit. Thankfully, in the summer of 2017, the Hahns came back to visit for Summer Daycamp. I had figured out that Talyhr loved playing volleyball and that I could often find her on the court. She always seemed very focused on the game. So eventually I built up the courage to walk over and introduce myself while she was in line to play, and the rest is history. I went home to tell my parents that night that she was THE ONE!

I know that I wouldn’t be where I am today without my parents deciding to make God the priority for our family. I would never have met Talyhr, and I wouldn’t have discovered this amazing opportunity through the teachings of Gwen Shamblin Lara. I am especially thankful to God for Talyhr, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her. She is my biggest blessing, and I pray that one day we can raise a family on our own. I am forever grateful! !

First off, I cannot begin this testimony without giving credit where credit belongs. There are not enough words to explain my gratitude for my parents, our amazing church, and the incredible leaders, such as Elizabeth Hannah and Gwen Shamblin Lara. Through their loving guidance and teachings on how to lay down sin and love God with all your heart, I have learned how to have my own personal relationship with God, which has completely changed my life. I am also very thankful for all the help and guidance that my parents have given me over the years. I am also very grateful for the Snider family and everything they have done in Aidan's and my life. They are always very welcoming, and their house feels like my second home. I will forever be in awe of everything I have been taught at Remnant Fellowship Church and am over-the-top grateful for the leaders who lay down their lives every day to guide our church in this relationship with God.
Aidan is always happy and has a very deep appreciation and thankfulness for everything in life. Getting to know Aidan more over the years has allowed me to see the changes he has made and even more of his amazing characteristics have come out. He always wants to do the right thing and is the first to bring up and make right a situation that lacks peace. I feel so blessed to have him in my life and thank God every day, as Aidan is my answered prayer.- Talyhr
I had the opportunity to grow up in Minnesota before we moved here in 2017. My parents were strong Christians and raised us very religiously. I was homeschooled throughout elementary school but attended a public middle school. I was easily influenced by the environment in middle school, and by age 13, I became very self-focused and depressed. I started to distance myself from my parents and family, and I projected and blamed all the pain and sadness I was feeling onto them. It slowly began to affect my siblings also, which made my parents realize we were all drifting from the peace that comes from a solid relationship with God and Christ.
My mom had taken a Weigh Down class years before and remembered the incredible fruit and blessings that had come from that Bible study. She decided to give it another try. She then found out about Remnant Fellowship and began truly learning how to put God first in the family. We visited for church daycamp that summer, and, although I was hesitant at first, I am so happy and forever grateful that my parents made the decision to move us down to Tennessee after that.
Since then, my life has changed completely. By putting the teachings at Remnant Fellowship Church into practice, I am no longer self-focused or depressed, but I am the exact opposite! I have learned how to have a strong relationship with God, and it has given me a completely different perspective on my life. Every day is no longer about “me” anymore but about God and how I can serve His Kingdom and encourage those around me. Every single day gets better and better, and it can sometimes feel like a dream!
Soon after we visited the church, Aidan immediately caught my eye. At the time, I was learning how to build my own personal relationship with God and was really focused on that. I would pray every day that if God wanted me to be with Aidan, He would make it obvious, which He definitely did! As Aidan and I started to get to know one another, I noticed his fun and bubbly personality, which drew me to him even more. He is always happy and has a very deep appreciation and thankfulness for everything in life.

I feel so blessed to have him in my life and thank God every day as Aidan is my answered prayer. I cannot wait to be married and continue to put God first and serve His Kingdom together! I truly do not deserve Aidan or this amazing life, and I know that all this is even possible because of living out these Godly principles that I have been taught.
