Their Story…
Anthony's testimony:
I have been a member of Remnant Fellowship since I was 10 years old. I am so grateful that God allowed my family to find this place. This is the only place that has brought me peace and taught me how to have a relationship with God. I left the church for about a year when I was 21 and God quickly showed me that the answers were not out in the world. I was not at peace in my heart and I had to find out why I needed God, not just relying on my parents to obey for me. That's not how it works and I quickly learned that as I had no peace or joy while away from this place. I have still been tested with my own will and I know that will not stop but I have made the choice to be here and continue to seek out God first.

Since I have moved back at the beginning of 2017, I have lost 35lbs and I'm still going. I’m working on getting the greed out of my heart so that I can lead my wife to be down the straight and narrow!
God came back in with blessings right away after choosing this message over the world. He brought sweet Kristen Rose into my life. I have learned so much from her and am constantly convicted to go further when I am around her. She pushes me to pray more and read more of the truth that was given to us. I praise God for laying out through Gwen and our Leaders at Remnant Fellowship a clear solid foundation for our marriage.
For me and my house will forever serve the Lord!

Kristen's testimony:
I praise God for anything good shown through my life. I found Weigh Down Ministries in 2010, which led me to Remnant Fellowship Church. This church has been nothing short of amazing. From Cindy Kirchner embracing me in a small town in Florida to the Sim’s family welcoming me with open arms to stay with them in Nashville. Even all the sweet members along the way who have let me stay with them in their homes including the Morgan’s, Catron’s, Ormaza’s, Duda’s and Fischer’s! I have learned so much individually from these families. They have all taught me how to live out a righteous life for God and how to have a beautiful marriage and family.
God has intervened in countless ways in my life over the past 5 years. He has continually put things in my path to keep me here and help me stay on the narrow path, even through hard times. A few months after I moved to Nashville, my Mom got diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and passed a few years after. I know without a doubt that I would not have been able to go through that time without what I’ve learned from Remnant. God has brought comfort, love and hope and has even given back by giving me more mother-like figures then I deserve...especially Karen Sims, Sandy Sheridan, Sue Ruth and Jenni Mendl who have taken me on as their own. I know that this is only from our God! He is so good to us!
Another challenge I have faced since I was 13 years old was my heath. I have Type 1 diabetes and it was a struggle all my life. Through what I’ve learned here, God has revealed the answer of how to have good health and healing! I have full confidence that He will continue to heal me as I follow Him and His will for my life.

I have had the honor of working for Dr. Helen Boerman at Brentwood Eye Care for 3 1/2 years. I have learned so much from her and from my amazing co-workers. They have all become some of my best friends! Molly, Celsie, Amanda, Avery and Ashton have helped me so much in my walk with God and encourage and convict me daily! I am forever grateful God has allowed me to work there!
As if God hadn’t done enough amazing things in my life, He allowed me to meet Anthony Wickwire in September 2017. This man is living proof that God is a good God and He has so much mercy on us! Anthony is the biggest answered prayer in my life and I never knew I could love and admire someone as much as I do him! We have grown closer to God and to each other and have learned so much in just this past year. I have never experienced more or lived as much life as much I have with him and his amazing family. The Crane’s, Wickwire’s and Smith’s have embraced me as their own and God has given back a beautiful family!
I am so excited about what God is doing and even more excited to go further in serving Him, this church and my amazing husband-to-be!
Thank you to God foremost Gwen Shamblin Lara for sharing this message and all of His Saints for all their love and support and for being such amazing examples to me. I cannot wait to share this day with all my loved ones glorifying God!
