Their Story...

Mason Holbrook:

First off, I totally just want to PRAISE GOD for this opportunity! He is the one and only reason that I am getting married, writing a testimony or even able to go throughout the rest of my life being 100% joyful!  My parents and I joined the Remnant Fellowship in 2008 while we were still living in California.  However, while I was living there I was easily entangled in all the world had to offer; this went on from about 8th grade all the way through graduating high school.  Graciously enough, God put it on my parents' heart to never give up and keep pointing me up to God even when it was not on my mind at all—and 7 years later, all thanks to God, I am living in Tennessee with a heart that only wants God’s Will to be done!

Without what I've learned at this Church, I would be completely self-focused, angry all the time and envious of all relationships and material possessions.  The Remnant has taught me how to have that one-on-one relationship with God that I have been longing for by staying under authority and doing exactly what He commands of us to do!  When obeying God’s will, I started to notice all the answered prayers flow in which is such an amazing feeling that only God can give.

"I feel as if God blessed me with Hannah for being obedient and doing His will, but also because He knew exactly how much her purity would influence how I want to live the rest of my life...” - Mason

Then the biggest blessing and answered prayer of them all came when I really decided to go "all in" for God...I met the wonderful Hannah Mornout!  She has been such an encouragement for the entirety of my stay in Tennessee.  She is always looking to see what she can do to please her authorities and is not afraid to give up what she wants for the sake of someone.  Her example of being so slow to speak and never being frustrated or angry is one of the things I love most about her, considering it is one of the things I struggled with the most.  I feel as if God blessed me with Hannah for being obedient and doing His will, but also because He knew exactly how much her purity would influence how I want to live the rest of my life.  On top of that, I can say without a doubt that she is absolutely the funniest person I have ever met, which makes things so fun and light hearted all the time!

God has been so merciful to me and I know that I do NOT deserve any of the blessings that I have received.  I bow down low before God every day, thanking Him for all that He has done in my life and continues to do every day.  I am so excited to say that I get to live the rest of my life serving the ALMIGHTY GOD of the UNIVERSE using the absolute and powerful truth laid out before me in the Remnant Fellowship church with the most beautiful, inside and out, young woman, Hannah Mornout.

Hannah Mornout:

My family became members of Remnant in 2000 when I was 2 years old. So my whole life has been brought up in the beautiful teachings of this Church and I know I want to continue in this for the rest of my life! There is no where else I would rather go. I know that what I have learned at Remnant has allowed my life to be blessed. I have learned that this life is all about finding and growing a personal relationship with God! God is first and comes before all things! This teaching helps me to lay down and get rid of anything in my life that doesn't glorify God. Through this teaching I have learned how to not be angry with my family but instead be loving with them. I have learned how to not have a greed for food and lost 20 pounds of extra weight in high school. I've learned how to not be selfish but constantly be getting out of self and loving everyone around me. I'm always learning more and cannot wait to put what I hear into practice! Everyday is just about pleasing Him! Whenever I have had a hard time growing up I have always been directed to go to God and pray to Him.  This has been foundational in my life, letting go of all worries and giving them up to God. I remember being in high school and knowing that I can just cry out to God for comfort and direction. My love and desire for God only grows every day. I long to read His word more and more! I don't know how I could make it without this relationship with him first!

IThe story of my relationship with Mason is a sweet God story to me! Before he had moved to Tennessee I had this desire to be in a relationship with someone. I didn't know who this would be but God had made it clear that that was a desire of my heart. I started praying about this and asked myself what type of person would I even be good with. I had a thought in my mind that I would really like someone who is goofy, outgoing and most of all someone who loves God! About a month later Mason moved to Tennessee. He fell in love with the teachings at the Church and had a deep desire to put it all into practice and lay his old life down! He dove into the Church and was instantly best friends with everyone. We became friends through our youth group at Church. It was during winter break that our friends were getting together more often for fun game nights and I was starting to notice Mason more and more.

Then Mason had the leading for all of our friends and read Scripture and the "History of the Love of God" book together! This began to unify us all so much and helped us all run for God with a deeper passion. It was during these readings that I fell in love with Mason. He had such a passion for God and wanted to learn more about God! He was exactly the person that I had prayed for before I even knew who he was. He was goofy with the best sense of humor. He always brings so much laughter. He was outgoing, friendly to absolutely everyone and so easy to talk to. And most importantly he loved God! And he put this message of purity into practice!

“Through dating Mason I have only fallen more in love with him and with God because Mason has always directed our relationship up to God...Every hard thing we go through together we know to pray and go to God with it. When we do that there is so much blessings and peace!” - Hannah

Through lots of prayer, God answered the desire of our hearts to start dating each other! There were so many signs and God stories that went into everything. Through dating Mason I have only fallen more in love with him and with God because Mason has always directed our relationship up to God. We have learned so much with this time together and we are able to see everything as a spiritual test for our refinement! Every hard thing we go through together we know to pray and go to God with it. When we do that there is so much blessings and peace! We want God to be pleased more than anything!

Getting engaged to Mason was the biggest blessing and answered prayer! The engagement was magical! All of our family and friends were there to celebrate the time with us! I'm so grateful for Mason and the life I get to live with him! I know Mason and I are so over the top grateful for Remnant Fellowship, which has taught us to love God first so that we can have a peaceful relationship loving each other!
